About Taidou
Taidou is a private management consulting firm built around a simple idea: real, measurable results for our clients, not reports that gather dust. Our consulting practice brings eight service lines — AI & Engineering, Assurance, Finance, Global Services, Human Capital, Project Management, Regulatory, Risk & Forensic, and Transformation Consulting — to organizations in complex, regulated sectors across aerospace & defense, consumer, education, energy, financial services, government & public services, health care, insurance, sports, technology, media & telecom, and utilities & renewables.
We are senior-led and built flat: the people in the first conversation are the people doing the work, every engagement starts with a written list of what we are deliberately not doing, and we hand over only once the change is running — to named owners inside the client. We take no referral fees, reseller margins or commissions from any vendor, which is what lets us tell a client the answer is not to buy anything.
The Role
Partners are the senior leaders of Taidou. You own the firm's most important client relationships, originate significant work across our service lines, lead the principals and teams who deliver it, and share responsibility for the firm's strategy, standards and growth. We are small and flat: partners sell and do the work.
What You'll Do
- Own and grow Taidou's most senior client relationships across our industries.
- Originate large, multi-service engagements and lead them to successful delivery.
- Lead and develop principals, senior directors and directors across the service lines.
- Shape firm strategy, offerings, pricing and investment decisions with the CEO and leadership team.
- Hold the firm's delivery commitments — senior-led work, named scope, handover after adoption, independence from vendors.
- Build Taidou's reputation through thought leadership, speaking and industry relationships.
- Help recruit and retain senior talent.
Qualifications
Required
- 18+ years of experience in consulting and/or senior industry leadership.
- A strong executive network and a record of originating significant revenue.
- Deep expertise in at least one of our service lines and industries.
- Experience leading senior teams and building a practice or business.
- Integrity and judgement that clients and colleagues rely on.
Preferred (nice to have, not required)
- Prior partner, managing director or equivalent role at a consulting firm.
- Experience across more than one of our industries.
- Based in or regularly in Texas.
How We Work
- Senior-led delivery — no bench, no handoff between the team that wins the work and the team that runs it.
- Named scope and named exclusions, agreed before work starts.
- Handover after adoption, to named owners, with a follow-up review we schedule ourselves.
- Independence from vendors: no referral fees, reseller margins or commissions.
We know great people don't always check every box. If you're excited about this role and believe you can do the work, we encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't line up perfectly.
Engagement & Compensation
This role is contract-to-hire. You join Taidou as an independent contractor for an initial onboarding period (typically 90 days), during which we agree your goals together. Once the conversion criteria set out in your offer are met, you convert to a full-time position with benefits.
Compensation is competitive and set according to experience and scope, and includes commission on the business you originate or grow. Full details are confirmed in your offer letter.
