About Taidou
Taidou is a private management consulting firm built around a simple idea: real, measurable results for our clients, not reports that gather dust. Our consulting practice brings eight service lines — AI & Engineering, Assurance, Finance, Global Services, Human Capital, Project Management, Regulatory, Risk & Forensic, and Transformation Consulting — to organizations in complex, regulated sectors across aerospace & defense, consumer, education, energy, financial services, government & public services, health care, insurance, sports, technology, media & telecom, and utilities & renewables.
We are senior-led and built flat: the people in the first conversation are the people doing the work, every engagement starts with a written list of what we are deliberately not doing, and we hand over only once the change is running — to named owners inside the client. We take no referral fees, reseller margins or commissions from any vendor, which is what lets us tell a client the answer is not to buy anything.
The Role
The Events Coordinator plans and runs Taidou's client and industry events — executive roundtables, industry briefings, client dinners and practice workshops in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Events are one of the main ways people first meet Taidou, so every detail — the invite list, the room, the run-of-show and the follow-up — matters. You'll work closely with our partners and sales team to turn each event into relationships and pipeline.
What You'll Do
- Plan and deliver a calendar of client and industry events — executive roundtables, industry briefings, client dinners and practice workshops.
- Source and manage venues, catering, AV, speakers, sponsors and vendors within budget.
- Build invite lists with the sales team, manage registrations and send reminders.
- Own the run-of-show on the day: set-up, check-in, timing, speakers and breakdown.
- Capture attendees and follow-ups in the Taidou CRM so every event produces next steps.
- Report on attendance, cost and outcomes, and improve the next event.
- Build relationships with Dallas venues, co-hosts and ecosystem partners.
Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years coordinating events, hospitality, community or programmes.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail under time pressure.
- Confident with vendors, speakers and senior guests.
- Able to work on-site in Dallas, including some evenings and weekends.
- Comfortable with spreadsheets, event tools and a CRM.
Preferred (nice to have, not required)
- Existing relationships with Dallas–Fort Worth venues and vendors.
- Experience with professional-services or corporate events.
- Basic design or social media skills for event promotion.
How We Work
- Senior-led delivery — no bench, no handoff between the team that wins the work and the team that runs it.
- Named scope and named exclusions, agreed before work starts.
- Handover after adoption, to named owners, with a follow-up review we schedule ourselves.
- Independence from vendors: no referral fees, reseller margins or commissions.
We know great people don't always check every box. If you're excited about this role and believe you can do the work, we encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't line up perfectly.
Engagement & Compensation
This role is contract-to-hire. You join Taidou as an independent contractor for an initial onboarding period (typically 90 days), during which we agree your goals together. Once the conversion criteria set out in your offer are met, you convert to a full-time position with benefits.
Compensation is competitive and set according to experience and scope. Full details are confirmed in your offer letter.
