About Taidou

Taidou is a private management consulting firm built around real, measurable results. Taidou Government & Public Services (GPS) is our public-sector practice: programme, policy, regulatory and technology delivery for local, state and federal agencies and the organizations that serve them — held to procurement rules, oversight and the public record rather than worked around them.

GPS brings the firm's service lines to public-sector work — project and programme management, transformation, regulatory and risk, finance and technology modernization — with the same senior-led, named-scope delivery model as the rest of Taidou, and a public record that outlives every engagement.

The Role

The Principal leads Taidou GPS's largest programmes and pursuits. You shape solutions for agencies, lead proposals, and oversee delivery teams so the work meets its commitments under procurement rules and public scrutiny. The practice spans programme and project delivery, transformation, regulatory and risk, finance and grants management, and technology modernization.

What You'll Do

  • Lead major GPS engagements and the client relationships behind them.
  • Shape solutions and lead proposal development for significant pursuits.
  • Oversee delivery quality, schedule, budget and compliance.
  • Lead and develop directors, managers and consultants.
  • Grow the practice's offerings and reputation with agencies and primes.

Qualifications

Required

  • 15+ years in public-sector consulting, programme leadership or government.
  • Experience leading large public programmes and winning competitive pursuits.
  • Excellent executive communication and judgement.
  • Eligible to work in the United States; some roles may require the ability to obtain a public-trust or security clearance.

Preferred (nice to have, not required)

  • Experience with federal, state or local procurement, grants or oversight requirements.
  • Knowledge of public-sector frameworks such as PMBOK, FedRAMP, NIST or GAO guidance.
  • Relevant certifications (PMP, CGFM, CISA, etc.).

How We Work

  • Senior-led delivery — no bench, no handoff between the team that wins the work and the team that runs it.
  • Named scope and named exclusions, agreed before work starts.
  • Handover after adoption, to named owners, with a follow-up review we schedule ourselves.
  • Independence from vendors: no referral fees, reseller margins or commissions.

We know great people don't always check every box. If you're excited about this role and believe you can do the work, we encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't line up perfectly.

Engagement & Compensation

This role is contract-to-hire. You join Taidou as an independent contractor for an initial onboarding period (typically 90 days), during which we agree your goals together. Once the conversion criteria set out in your offer are met, you convert to a full-time position with benefits.

Compensation is competitive and set according to experience and scope, and includes commission on the business you originate or grow. Full details are confirmed in your offer letter.
