About Taidou
Taidou is a private management consulting firm built around real, measurable results. Taidou Government & Public Services (GPS) is our public-sector practice: programme, policy, regulatory and technology delivery for local, state and federal agencies and the organizations that serve them — held to procurement rules, oversight and the public record rather than worked around them.
GPS brings the firm's service lines to public-sector work — project and programme management, transformation, regulatory and risk, finance and technology modernization — with the same senior-led, named-scope delivery model as the rest of Taidou, and a public record that outlives every engagement.
The Role
The Client Relationship Executive owns Taidou GPS's most important existing relationships. You make sure every client is getting what they were promised, spot where we can help next, and keep the relationship senior, honest and useful — so first engagements become long-term partnerships. You work hand in hand with the delivery leads and partners, and you are measured on client health, retention and expansion rather than activity.
What You'll Do
- Own a portfolio of client relationships with agency leaders, programme owners and prime contractors across local, state and federal government, and be their first call at Taidou.
- Run regular account reviews: what we delivered, what it changed, what is next, and where we fell short.
- Identify and shape follow-on work — new public-sector consulting and delivery work — with the delivery team, from first conversation to signed scope.
- Build multi-threaded relationships across each client so the partnership never depends on a single contact.
- Keep account plans, contacts, opportunities and notes current in the Taidou CRM, and forecast accurately.
- Bring client feedback back into how we scope, staff and deliver.
- Represent Taidou at client events, industry forums and ecosystem gatherings.
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years in account management, client partnership or relationship sales in professional services, consulting, government contracting or a related field.
- A track record of growing and retaining senior client relationships.
- Excellent written and spoken communication; comfortable with executives.
- Commercially sharp — you can shape a scope, talk price and protect margin.
- Highly organized, with disciplined CRM habits.
Preferred (nice to have, not required)
- Experience in one or more of the industries or client groups this practice serves.
- Existing network among the buyers described above.
- Experience selling outcome-based or advisory work rather than products.
How We Work
- Senior-led delivery — no bench, no handoff between the team that wins the work and the team that runs it.
- Named scope and named exclusions, agreed before work starts.
- Handover after adoption, to named owners, with a follow-up review we schedule ourselves.
- Independence from vendors: no referral fees, reseller margins or commissions.
We know great people don't always check every box. If you're excited about this role and believe you can do the work, we encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't line up perfectly.
Engagement & Compensation
This role is contract-to-hire. You join Taidou as an independent contractor for an initial onboarding period (typically 90 days), during which we agree your goals together. Once the conversion criteria set out in your offer are met, you convert to a full-time position with benefits.
Compensation is competitive and set according to experience and scope, and includes commission on the business you originate or grow. Full details are confirmed in your offer letter.
