About Taidou

Taidou is a private management consulting firm built around real, measurable results. Taidou Atlas is our startup and private-markets practice: through Taidou Exchange we give founders and small businesses one integrated advisory network to build company infrastructure, connect with vetted service providers, complete readiness work, and reach private-market opportunities and curated investor discovery — with no revenue or size minimums.

Atlas works with four groups at once: founders, investors (venture capital, private equity and family offices), the accelerators and ecosystem partners who support them, and the service providers they rely on. Companies move through the Exchange in stages — intake, build, route and raise — and we hold the line on when a company is genuinely ready to meet an investor.

The Role

The Investor Relations Associate keeps Taidou Atlas's investor network organized, current and useful. You build and maintain investor profiles and theses, match them to companies that are genuinely ready, prepare introduction materials, and follow up so every introduction leads somewhere. Fewer introductions, made later, with a reason attached to each.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain profiles for venture capital, private equity, family office and angel investors: thesis, stage, sector, check size and recent activity.
  • Match investor theses to Exchange companies that have completed readiness work, with a written reason for each match.
  • Prepare introduction materials — company summaries, data-room checks and meeting briefs.
  • Coordinate investor meetings, showcases and follow-ups with founders and Atlas principals.
  • Keep investor data accurate in the Taidou CRM and report on introductions, meetings and outcomes.
  • Support investor events and communications.

Qualifications

Required

  • 2+ years in investor relations, venture capital, private equity, investment banking, corporate development or a related analytical role.
  • Strong research, writing and spreadsheet skills.
  • Meticulous with data and confidentiality.
  • Comfortable speaking with investors and founders.
  • Organized and proactive.

Preferred (nice to have, not required)

  • Familiarity with venture and private-market data tools.
  • An existing network in the investor community.
  • Interest in startups and private markets.

How We Work

  • Senior-led delivery — no bench, no handoff between the team that wins the work and the team that runs it.
  • Named scope and named exclusions, agreed before work starts.
  • Handover after adoption, to named owners, with a follow-up review we schedule ourselves.
  • Independence from vendors: no referral fees, reseller margins or commissions.

We know great people don't always check every box. If you're excited about this role and believe you can do the work, we encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't line up perfectly.

Engagement & Compensation

This role is contract-to-hire. You join Taidou as an independent contractor for an initial onboarding period (typically 90 days), during which we agree your goals together. Once the conversion criteria set out in your offer are met, you convert to a full-time position with benefits.

Compensation is competitive and set according to experience and scope. Full details are confirmed in your offer letter.
