The product
Exchange
An assembly line for companies, not a directory of people.
Startups join, get the gaps closed that would fail diligence, plug into the service providers that fit their stage, and reach investors when they are ready rather than when they are running out of runway.
Intake. Stage, sector, structure, who owns what — built from the paper, so everything after it is judged against a record rather than a pitch.
Build. The unglamorous six: model, contracts, metric definitions, cap table hygiene, data room, board record.
Route. Work that needs a specialist goes to a provider who has been assessed — scoped before it lands on their desk.
Prepare. The company is measured against the questions a second meeting asks, and told what would fail today.
Connect. Investors see a company only once it will survive the conversation. That gate is the product.
The idea
Every ecosystem has the same three populations and the same coordination failure. Founders need help they cannot specify. Service providers need work that fits their practice. Investors need companies that are ready. Everyone is one introduction away from everyone, and almost none of those introductions happen at the right moment.
Exchange fixes the timing rather than the introductions. A company enters, gets assessed on what it needs next, has that built, and is routed outward at each stage. By the time it meets an investor it has already met the accountant, the lawyer and the person who told it the metric definition was wrong.
The line
Five stages, in order.
Select any stage to see who runs it, how long it takes and what comes out of it. The order is fixed — a company can enter part-way along, but it cannot skip.
Stage 01
Intake
A company joins the Exchange and is assessed on what it actually needs next — not on what it would like to raise. Most arrive convinced the answer is capital and leave the first session with a different list.
- A profile built from documents rather than a form
- The next milestone named and agreed
- A stage assignment you can argue with
You leave intake with a different list than you arrived with. That is the normal outcome, not a failure.
What plugs in
The network around the line.
