Founders
Get the gaps closed before they cost you a term sheet.
Most companies we meet are not short of introductions. They are short of the six unglamorous things that will surface in diligence and cost them either the round or the price.
Sample readiness check
Five questions, and an honest read.
This is a short sample of the intake we actually run. It takes about a minute, nothing is stored, and the output is the same shape as the real one — which stage you would enter at, roughly how long it would take, and the first thing we would do.
Where is the company right now?
Pick the closest. Stage drives everything downstream, and it is the question founders most often answer optimistically.
Nothing is stored. This is a sample of the real intake.
Common questions
Before you get in touch.
It depends on what the company needs and we will tell you before anything starts. We do not take equity and we do not take a percentage of a raise.
No. Atlas is not a fund and has no investment vehicle. That is precisely what allows us to tell you not to raise yet.
No, and be careful with anyone who does. We make introductions where the fit is real and we tell you when it is not.
From intake to introductions, most companies take three to five months. Companies that arrive with the paper already in order move considerably faster, and the questionnaire above will give you a rough read on which of those you are.
Yes. Plenty of companies enter at Build or Prepare because intake finds the earlier work is already done. You cannot skip a stage, but you can start past one.
Neither. No equity, no carry, no percentage of a raise, no finder’s fee. We are paid by the company for the readiness work, and that fee is disclosed to any investor we introduce you to.
Then we say so, in the first two weeks, and we tell you what would have to change. It is the most valuable thing we do and it is the reason Atlas has no fund attached to it.
Senior Taidou people, the same as the rest of the firm. Specialist work — legal, audit, tax — is routed to providers in the network who do it properly, and we do not take a fee for that routing.
Yes. Most of the readiness work is jurisdiction-neutral; where it is not, we route to a provider who knows the jurisdiction.
Yes. Nothing about a company in the Exchange is shared outside it without the founder’s explicit sign-off, including to investors.
